Fundraising Projects

The Pansy Shell House has partnered with a church group in Africa, Word of Life Church, headquartered in Lusaka, Zambia. They currently have 324 churches throughout the 10 provinces of Zambia. Most of these churches are in rural areas. They also have churches in Malawi, Angola and Congo (DRC).

They are a growing and vibrant church that teaches the truth of the Gospel according to the Bible, which is the Holy Spirit breathed Word of God.

We are raising funds on behalf of Word of Life Church through 2 main channels: firstly using JustGiving, a well-known UK-based fundraising platform, and secondly via direct bank transfers into a South African bank account (details on request). Your financial support towards the projects mentioned on this page, will make a huge difference. No amount is too small and we accept and appreciate every penny!

Vehicle Purchase

Word of Life Church in Zambia needs to reach their 324 churches in the 10 provinces of Zambia. People and resources need to be transported to these areas on a regular basis - a task made more difficult in the current raining season. Poor road quality and conditions requires a robust vehicle that will cost £12 000. Our deadline to receive donations is 12 March 2024.

Church And Community Centre Building Fund

To increase engagement with and support for the community in which Word of Life Church operates, a new church building is needed in Lusaka, which will also serve as a Community Centre. This building will host Offices for Staff, a School, Play Area, Soup Kitchen and a Medical Centre. The community is encouraged to be self sustaining and therefore different vocational classes will be presented here too.

The community and members of the church have already spent £3 000 on the foundations as can be seen in the photos on the left. Our aim is to raise the following phased amounts to support this project:

PHASE 1

Side walls to extend current building and complete the side hall area.

AMOUNT TO RAISE: £50 000

TARGET FUNDING DATE: End of March 2024

PHASE 2

Main Auditorium, Admin Offices and Kitchen.

AMOUNT TO RAISE: £200 000

TARGET FUNDING DATE: End of August 2024

PHASE 3

School and Medical Clinic

AMOUNT TO RAISE: £200 000

Conference Travel Expenses

We are invited to facilitate spirtual leadership and discipleship at the National Leadership Conference in Lusaka, during 8 - 19 May 2024, at Word Of Life Church.

Our representative needs £900 to cover travel expenses. Your generous donation will help this worthy ministry to achieving this goal.
